Apportioned trucks (IRP / IFTA)
Not every location processes apportioned accounts. If you operate interstate, call the branch that holds your fleet paperwork before you visit. We can typically assist with new accounts, renewals, reissues, IRP cab cards, temporary permits, IFTA and motor carrier decals, title transfers tied to apportioned vehicles, account updates, and US DOT–related steps—but only where staffing and equipment support it.
Notary and related services
Our notaries handle common motor-vehicle and general requests such as certificate of original documents, acknowledgements, and affidavits and oaths. Bring current, government-issued photo ID unless your document itself specifies otherwise. Notary fees follow state law; ask at the counter if you need a receipt or a copy strategy.
What to bring
Coming in prepared is the single best way to shorten your wait. Use our Downloads page for PennDOT PDFs when you need to complete forms at home first.
Title transfer and registration (typical)
- Original title or certificate of origin; out-of-state titles may require the vehicle or trailer on site for VIN verification or a completed MV-41 from an authorized inspector
- Current Pennsylvania driver license or non-driver ID
- Bill of sale or gift letter if buyer and seller are not both present
- Odometer reading when required for your transfer type
- Valid proof of insurance ID card
- Current registration card if you are moving plates to a different vehicle
Notary-only visits
- Valid driver license or non-driver photo ID, passport, or active military ID—whichever matches the notarial certificate you need
Some offices advertise optional add-ons (passport photos, etc.). Check your location page or call before you count on them.
